Our History

Bianco has come a long way from the Adelaide bricklaying business established by Nick Bianco in 1970. Nick began to collect a large inventory of bricklaying equipment hiring out idle equipment, and selling excess stock to the industry. In 1977, Bianco Hiring Services commenced operations. Bianco Builders Supplies soon evolved from Bianco Hiring Services, specialising in selling building and machinery products to the construction industry. Bianco Reinforcing was established in 1998, manufacturing
quality steel reinforcing from its Gepps Cross facility. In 2004 Bianco Safety was established and merged with Bianco Machinery to form Bianco Construction & Safety Equipment. In 2011, Russell Bianco acquired the business from Nick.   For nearly 40 years, the Bianco Group has continued to grow and develop to meet the needs of the customers. It’s a commitment that we’re proud of, and it’s our plan for the future.

Roxby Downs South Australia

The Bianco branch at Roxby Downs has been servicing BHP Billiton and contractors since opening in March 2009. Bianco’s mining division, which specialises in the provision of products and services to the mining sector, prides itself with high level of service and expertise. It boasts full time and part time local employees. It has recently acquired property for expanding it’s warehouse and storage space.

Mt Barker South Australia

After 20 years of servicing Mt Barker and the surrounding hills area, Bianco Construction Supplies opened a branch in Mt Barker to allow improved access to our products and as well as improving on our existing level of service for our regional customers. This branch offers the same product range as our main branch at Newton, Adelaide.

In 2007 Bianco Construction Supplies opened a branch in Holtze in Darwin to expand our products into the Northern Territory region. Our Darwin branch offers the same products as all of our South Australian branches.

Industrial Supplies

In 2014 Bianco acquired a small industrial supplies business based in Wingfield, Adelaide. This was the beginning of a strategy to take the Bianco strengths of sales and service into the industrial supplies arena, meeting the work place needs of industrial customers.

In 2015 Bianco moved its main warehouse complex and showroom to Kilburn, Adelaide. The existing Newton site then became a branch servicing the needs of customers in the eastern suburbs while the Kilburn location better met the needs of both construction and industrial customers in the North and Western suburbs.
