Crommelins Electric Submersible Pump
PD400MS electric submersible pump (218048)
The PD400MS is a rugged cast iron cased electric submersible pump powered by a single phase motor. Safety features for the PD400MS include in built capacitor start and thermal cut out with automatic resetting to protect the motor windings from overheating either from current surge or mechanical blockage. Stainless steel screws are used throughout the Crommelins submersible pump. The pump and motor for the PD400MS share a common stainless steel shaft with a double faced silicon carbide mechanical seal with intervening oil chamber for seal life in excess of 6,000 hours. The oil chamber features an inspection plug for periodical testing of the oil. The condition of the oil can identify the condition of the pump seal saving money on costly repairs to the motor. New improved Japanese bearings now come standard with the Crommelins PD400MS submersible pump. The PD400MS is suitable for general pumping of dirty water or fixed sump installations when fitted with an optional automatic float control. Constructed by cast iron, the PD400MS is perfect at home or in saltwater environments including pool repairs.
